The Real Cost Of Living In Ubud, Bali For 1 Month
The Real Cost Of Living In Ubud, Bali For 1 Month
24 April 2015
If you have been living in Bali for a while then you you know that life in Ubud is getting more and more expensive. Although it is still possible to eat a local meal for less than a dollar. By trial and error you probably found you best places to get your favorites at the best quality and price. Being here on a shorter term, or even holiday though is a bit different. Some people start to complain about the rising rental prices (the increasing prices are the natural consequence of demand and offer). But can we say that a holiday in Ubud, Bali for 2 adults and 2 kids is still very affordable? Erin and Josh Bender (Australia) say YES!
The Benders are an Australian couple with two young kids who have visited Bali recently writing down their expenses as they enjoyed their stay in Ubud, Bali. This month we though we would share some of their insights with you. They said to have spent $1.990 excluding their flight tickets, that is a mere $250 per person for a WHOLE month, including their accommodation!
As they go on to explain, 50% of their budget they spent on accommodation (they stayed in a nice 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom villa with a private pool for 18 million IDR (AUS $1800, US $1400)). The price included Wi-Fi, electricity, gas, cable TV, daily breakfast bought and prepared and daily cleaning. They have eaten in mid-range restaurants and have not been overly restrictive of their budget.
At Ubud Property we argue that Ubud is still a place suitable for all budgets. When it comes to villas and houses you can see in our 300+ sales and rental listings that we have high-end properties and lower budget properties alike. If you can't find what you are looking for, stop by of our offices (office #1 at the Arjuna Statue for Sales and office #2 opposite coco supermarket for Rental and Sales) to discuss your needs. We will do our best to find your dream house and this all with you timing in mind.
