For some time already I am in the habit of writing some monthly comments about life in and around Ubud, usually in relation to what we know and experience at the office of UbudProperty.
Maybe some of you have on occasions read along, but that still did not tell you much about this dedicated property agency, which tries to combine the love for it’s unique location Ubud and for the local community, together with sound professional advice about how to go about smartly investing into property here.
Let’s take a quick look at who we are and what makes us, the team of UbudProperty, a little bit different from the rest – After all who does not want to know with whom he/she is dealing?
In years of growing and learning, here is what sums up in short what our team is about, the cornerstones of our business ethics -
-
Integrity: We are honest, open, ethical, and fair. People trust us to adhere to our word.
-
Quality: What we do, we do well
- We know, -focus on the client and all else will follow
- Full Disclosure and Transparency, always
- We strive to minimize negative impact on the local environment
- Delivering our very best in all we do, holding ourselves accountable for results.
Only recently we started asking clients for a short comment on our performance. Here are things our clients said so far: https://goo.gl/YQV63X.
(No self made BS, just honest opinions, which we are happy to substantiate, if you ask).
Since the Company is running for already 15 years and has built up an unblemished reputation, we think it is safe to assume that our dear clients as well as property vendors saw us continually abiding by the above principles. After all, what did Henry Ford say? "You can’t build a reputation on what you are going to do."
Others in our range of work came and went. UbudProperty is still around – and continues growing. Property Management and Rental Services add well to being a property agent in marketing and selling. These services are increasingly in demand, as it is a not simple task to manage villas and keeping them up in value and to a high standard. Therefore we had to abandon our outgrown second location at the lower end of Jl. Hanoman, which just specialized in dealing with renting and villa management.
As a result, today the team of 22 staff is temporarily crammed together in the original offices near the Arjuna statue in Ubud’s main street.
Thankfully just in a few month’s time the Company will be building a second and larger office building, located right across the road for convenience. Buyers and sellers will surely welcome the additional parking space.
Finally, why not talk about what every single staff member is proud of -
We will continue and hopefully expand our volunteer activities further to help locals in need. Every other month our team seeks and finds worthwhile projects which deserve support and donations. Then and on their weekends the entire team is going out, and predominantly in Karangasem helps and supports people near Gungung Agung who need improvement in their paltry living conditions.
One other characteristic, which also may separate this Company from the rest is, that whenever we go out for inspections, everyone in our team is picking up plastic rubbish, such as bottles from the pathways we are walking on and put the rubbish into a bag in the car. Later being picked up by the local rubbish collectors in Ubud.
We were once arguing, if this is fit for a Company who claims to be ’one level up’ but eventually decided, this is one of the reasons why we believe we are one level up.
And whilst we are already looking at the slightly unusual methods of conducting our business, it may be of interest too, that our valued clients, based on our initiative, are supporting at present 70 school children whose parents would not find the money to send their kids to school. From UbudProperty’s income a neat proportion is allocated for this purpose. Local school administrations in Ubud and the town administration, both appreciate this effort, let alone the parents and children themselves. There is a publication prepared by Bali Newspapers and soon you can read more in detail there.
This sums up the little introduction into how we do what we do. No talk today about how we work and achieve success for sellers , buyers and property owners. There is surely no harm in feeling good about being able to claim:
‘Aren’t we not indeed a bit different, - or what?”
With kind regards,
Your proud Team at UbudProperty
